Th...I was a resident of Phoenix House in 1970-1971. Then it was a vibrant place. I never knew the vast history of the island, Very interesting. Seeing your photos has brought mixed memories of the island. It was an eerie place. We used to see human bones scattered by dogs that went to the graveyard.
